Caesar Rodney School District commissioned BSA+A for the complete upgrade of Allen Frear Elementary School. Built in 1963, it shares a site with the Charlton School. The scope of work includes a full interior and exterior renovation and addition.
Renovations include improvements to the front entrance to establish a clear identity for Frear Elementary School, the redesign of the admin/guidance and nurses offices, and ADA upgrades including a new elevator. BSA+A is reconfiguring the existing pod with a new connection as well as redesigning the interior space of the pod into classroom space. BSA+A is also designing an addition with two new computer labs. HVAC and mechanical upgrades, and the reconfiguration and redesign of the media center is also included in the scope of work.
The project is scheduled to be completed in August of 2012.
